Kurt Hutchens - Lead Pastor

Pastor Kurt came to Shalom in 1999 and has a passion for seeing people experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ. Pastor Kurt serves as the point leader for Shalom in guarding our Core Values and determining the overall direction that God is leading Shalom in. Pastor Kurt is responsible for overseeing and providing Pastoral care as well as providing Spiritual oversight to the church and the staff. He serves as a part of a Pastoral team which facilitates vision casting, overall direction and our preaching and teaching ministry. Pastor Kurt's wife, Karen, is a teacher at Light of the World Academy, Shalom's Montessori School and they have four beautiful children: Chelsea, Allie, Luke and Claire. Brad Garrison - Pastor

Pastor Brad joined our staff in September of 2009. Pastor Brad is a full-time pharmacist and graciously gives of his time to serve at Shalom. In addition to being a pharmacist, Pastor Brad is an adult convert who went on to receive a Master's of Divinity and is an ordained pastor with a passion for seeing people experience the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. Pastor Brad's main roles include getting new folks connected to Shalom and making sure that everyone is afforded the opportunity to grow deeper in their walk with Jesus and to take hold of the many opportunities we have for serving. Pastor Brad's wife, Sherie, is a nurse at the University of Michigan and can often be found on Sunday's meeting new people. Pastor Brad and Sherie have four grown children and several grandchildren that keep them on their toes. Vicky Lovell - Youth Minister

Vicky Lovell has taught and coached children and adults for nearly twenty years. She is a dynamic speaker who enjoys sharing the importance of having hope when faced with life’s challenges. Though she received her bachelor’s in elementary/middle school education from Marquette University and her master’s in educational leadership from Georgia State University, her greatest learning experiences have come from having three children in three years. Kathy Moorehouse - Light of the World, Director

Kathy is the founding director of Light of the World Academy (LOTWA). As well as being the Director, Kathy spends a lot of time in the classroom with the children. Under Kathy's leadership, LOTWA has grown to almost 140 children and is one of Shalom's largest community impacting ministries. The preschool/kindergarten has 2, 3, and 5 day a week programs for children ages 3-6. Our elementary school goes through 6th grade. It is a Montessori school which prides itself in a wonderful and loving staff. Amy Crowley - Office & Facility Manager

Amy has been a part of Shalom for the last two years; she and her two daughters, Olivia and Kathryn, reside in Pinckney. In addition to serving on our Student Ministries leadership team, Amy serves in the Church Office providing administrativel support to the pastoral leadership team, hospitality teams, and ministry management team. Dianne Park - Bookkeeper

Dianne and her husband Herb have been attending Shalom for the last three years. Dianne brings with her, first and foremost, a passion for the Lord Jesus Christ and second, a financial management background that makes her ideal for the role of bookkeeper.
